This week the cast are going to have to get a bit damp. The theme is Wet Brits. In her audio commentary for 'Sense and Sensibility', Emma Thompson talks about the difficulty of doing multiple takes for this scene. By the time little Kate Winslet was soaked to the bone in all of that dress, she weighed--or I should say 'all of that wet cloth weighed' because Winslet was just a little snippet of a girl--a relative ton. Hence, before each re-take, the grounds crew were out there trying to hide the deep trench of footprints Alan Rickman left in his wake.
He really does look miserable in this picture.
