The "Brit a Day" series

What does a months-long parade of attractive British men have to do with fiction, you might well ask? These gentlemen have inspired some lovely scenes, part of the life I live in my head. Over time, some of these scenes reach out to one another and begin to form a story. For the present, each one of these pictures provides a writing prompt for me, a way to keep me writing with a sense of passion and narrative, even when the stories are not yet fully formed.

A Brit a Day [#284]

This post is for Thursday. Happy Thanksgiving, y'all! I'm taking off for a week to visit my mom. So I'll see you when I get back.

I once theorized that every British actor who was known to America would end up being cast in one of the Harry Potter movies. Well, one or two missed the call, so I'm taking matters into my own hands...

Henry Ian Cusick could easily fall to the dark side--he's just so darn good at it. He, in all his scruffy glory, would make a good comrade for Fenrir Grayback, out coming the woods for the Potterites. [digital art credit: Quadrophobia at Deviant Art]

He could also pass for the next Minister of Magic, although that is not a job I'd wish on a friend right now.

Or finally, less evil and more "I don't care", he could be one of the centaurs, like Firenze, who roam the woods surrounding Hogwarts. [digital photo work: Mumsypower at Live Journal]
