The "Brit a Day" series

What does a months-long parade of attractive British men have to do with fiction, you might well ask? These gentlemen have inspired some lovely scenes, part of the life I live in my head. Over time, some of these scenes reach out to one another and begin to form a story. For the present, each one of these pictures provides a writing prompt for me, a way to keep me writing with a sense of passion and narrative, even when the stories are not yet fully formed.

A Brit a Day [#661]

I've been treating myself to streaming videos on my Kindle this week--I'm watching Matt Smith's first season on 'Doctor Who'.  I had not seen it when I began watching Season 6, so I'm having a lot of "Oh, that's what that's about" moments.  A lot of people won't jump into watching a show without seeing all the bits that you missed first, but I think 'Doctor Who' is a prime example of why Life's Too Short for that--there are nearly 50 years to catch up on.  Sometimes, you just have to get on with it.  And Wikipedia is there to help fill in the gaps.
